SEARCH & RESCUE ADVISORY TO THE PHILIPPINES COASTGUARD
In 2022, the Sumner Foundation provided specialised advisory support to the Philippine Coast Guard to strengthen Search and Rescue (SAR) operations nationwide. The Foundation worked alongside Coast Guard leadership to enhance maritime response readiness, improve coordination during emergencies, and support the development of effective SAR frameworks aligned with international best practices.
By sharing global insights and practical experience, the Sumner Foundation helped advance the Philippine Coast Guard’s ability to respond swiftly and effectively to maritime incidents, natural disasters, and life-saving operations across the country’s extensive coastal and archipelagic waters.
