Sumner Global has a long history of business around the world. As part of the charity’s Environmental, Social & Corporate Governance Charter, we are proud to announce the launch of two humanitarian programs:
 

• Water Search & Rescue (WSAR) Capability & Training Facility
  The Sumner Foundation is proud to be launching its flagship project in The Philippines. The project is centred around the delivery of The Sumner Foundation’s National Water Search & Rescue capability and training facility. In consultation with the Philippines Navy & Coast Guard, the WSAR capability will enable a national first response mechanism for those in need during times of natural disaster. In addition to the service itself, a dedicated training centre is being set up and training offered to volunteers including members of the Philippines Navy & Coast Guard. This important project will work with existing networks and alongside other NGOs and government agencies involved in rescue operations as part of the National Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Plan.
   

• Technical Advisory & Training for NGO Security​
  The foundation has partnered with volunteers experienced in security matters for contested areas in Ukraine. The team has provided training and advice to both NGOs and other supply chain stakeholders to ensure aid arrives at its destination safely and on time.
