About Sumner Regional Health Systems, Inc.

Sumner Regional Health Systems (SRHS) is a three-hospital healthcare organization serving eleven counties in the northern middle Tennessee region. The system provides a wide spectrum of general and specialized healthcare services through its three rural hospitals: Riverview Regional Medical Center (RRMC), Trousdale Medical Center (TMC) and its 145-bed flagship hospital, Sumner Regional Medical Center (SRMC).

Since opening in 1959, SRMC has grown to be a leading provider of healthcare services in Sumner and surrounding counties. When SRMC first opened its doors, there were 50 employees and seven physicians. To give SRMC a competitive edge and create an infrastructure that would better serve its rural service area, a private, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) health system was created in 1994.

Today, SRHS is a health system of 1,660 full and part-time associates, 170 physicians, and 250 volunteers, all of whom are dedicated to the system’s mission to meet the healthcare needs and expectations of their communities.

Under the leadership of President and CEO William Sugg and the senior management team, SRHS continues to grow to meet the healthcare needs of its community.
